the Tibetan society held each year on the full
moon day of the fourth lunar month of the Tibetan
calendar. This festival is celebrated in honor
of Sakyamuni's and his enlightenment.
This Saga Dawa festival has been celebrated by
the Tibetan Buddhists for past thousand years

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY |
|
DAY 01 (May 30, 2009): Your arrival at Tribhuwan International
Airport Kathmandu (TIA). Upon your arrival, you will be met by one of our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel, inclusive of breakfast.

DAY 02: Kathmandu guided tour (4-5 hours tour)
Today we arrange guided city tour to Pashupatinath
temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast.

DAY 03: Kathmandu - Kodari - Zhangmu - Nyalam (7-8 hours drive, Total distance: 125 k.m)
After having your breakfast you will drive from Kathmandu to
Nepal/China Friendship Bridge (Kodari) where our Tibetan guide and driver will be waiting for you, you will then drive to Nyalam, which is situated at 3750m. On the way, you will see a variety of landscapes and
mountains. Overnight at Guesthouse, inclusive of full board meal which is prepared by our Nepalese staff.

05: Drive to Saga (4450m), and overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.
Total distance: 250 km.
Approximate driving: 8 hrs.

DAY 06: Drive to Paryang (4610m), Overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.
Total distance: 250 km.
Approximate driving: 7 hrs.

DAY 07: Drive to Manasarovar (4560m) -short-Visit
Trugo Gompa, Gossul Gompa, Chiu Gompa, Overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.
Total distance: 280 km.
Approximate driving: 8 hrs.

DAY 08: Drive to Darchen (4570m), Overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.

Festival), and continue trek to Derapuk (5000m), Overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.

DAY 10: Trek to Dolma La Pass (5600m.) and
trek down to Zudulpuk Gompa (4800m), overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.

DAY 11: Trek to Darchen; and drive
to Mansarovar Lake, overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.

Day 12: Drive to Paryang, overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal. |

DAY 13: Drive to Saga, Overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.

DAY 14: Drive to Nyalam, Overnight at Guesthouse, inclusive of full board meal.

DAY 15: Drive Nyalam - Zhangmu
– Kodari - Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Kodari (Friendship highway); you will exit from Tibet boarder saying goodbye to Tibetan guide and driver, where one of our staffs with Nepali driver will be waiting for you. After finishing Immigration formalities in Nepal immigration, you will continue drive to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast.

DAY 16 (June 14, 2009): Transfer to Airport for your onward journey!
